That looked mighty tasty actually and I'm an Asian. I eat fried rice on daily basis. Mushroom is kind of a luxury ingredient though because here we use mostly anchovies, fresh and dried red chilis (maybe some birds-eye pepper for anextra kick), roasted shrimp paste (depending on the type of fried rice), chopped mustard greens or cabbages or long beans, a bit of soy sauce and a dash of MSG. Oh, there is mushroom fried rice but here we use oyster mushrooms most of the time.

Still better fried rice than Jamie Oliver's. You can enhance it by: 1. Yes, use vegetable oil or something, don't add butter or don't add butter at the beginning. 2. Do not add any soy nor sauce on the "special sauce" part. And stir fry the non-sauced "special sauce" in the beginning after you stir one or two cloves of garlic. 3. Add the remaining sauce in the middle after you add the rice. 4. Use white pepper 5. Add butter near the end There you have it, white people egg fried rice.
