There's something that people are missing here, and it amazes me that it hasn't been figured out: the SHAPE OF THE TASER. No, it is not exactly like their glock, but close enough to be confused in the heat of the moment. It needs to have a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHAPE that the cop grabs - something like a "T" shape handle perhaps. This is not the first time - not even the second time cops have confused them and people have been shot. Read the early history in WWII of the way pilots were crashing B-17s on landing and you will understand what the problem is. We need to learn from these design errors. And the difference in weight between the gun and taser is irrelevant when you first grab either one. By the time you lift it out and point it to fire it off, that split second is not enough time to think, "Oops, grabbed the wrong one. Sorry!!"
